Solkin ("we" or "I"), operated by Shivani Sarin as a sole trader in London, United Kingdom, is responsible for the personal data you share with us. Our correspondence address is 27 Old Gloucester Street, Holborn, London WC1N 3AX, United Kingdom, and you can reach us about your data at [email protected]. Solkin is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office.
To provide your styling, we collect the details you enter in the questionnaire, such as your name, email, age, location, occupation, lifestyle, sizing, body and fit notes, and style preferences. We also collect the photographs you choose to send and any messages you send us. Your payment is handled by our payment provider, so we receive confirmation that you have paid but do not store your card details.
We use your information to prepare and deliver your styling service and to communicate with you about it. Our legal basis for this is performing our contract with you. If we ever wish to show an anonymised Blueprint, or any photographs, as an example of our work, we will only do so with your explicit permission, which you can withdraw at any time.
Your photographs are used only to read your body, proportions and colouring, so that your advice is genuinely yours. They are never shared publicly or used for promotion without your permission.
We never sell your data. We share it only with the trusted services that help us run Solkin, such as Stripe for payments, Google Workspace for our email and file storage, and our website host, and only as far as they need it to do their job.
Some of these services may store or process your data on servers outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we only use providers that protect your data to a standard recognised under UK data protection law.
We keep your information only as long as we need it. We delete your photographs within twelve months of delivering your work, unless you've asked us to keep them, and we keep basic business records such as invoices for as long as the law requires.
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. To do any of these, just email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
Our website is kept deliberately simple and does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If that ever changes, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent where it's needed.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows when it was last changed.
Email [email protected] with anything at all about your privacy.
